Account Questions:
I live outside the UK, can I join?
Sorry, no. The advertising on Archerfish is aimed exclusively at a UK audience, therefore we can only offer memberships to UK residents. Accounts created by visitors outside the UK will be deleted.
How old do I have to be before I can join the program?
You must be 18 years of age or over to participate.
Am I allowed to have more than one account?
We allow one account per individual. There may be more than one account per household,
however each person registering an account must have a separate computer and separate
ISP to participate in our program.
How can I log into my account?
Log in by clicking on the "Member Login" link at the top of any page.
How can I cancel my account?
Go to your Profile page (accessed via the Members' Menu) and at the bottom of the page, just enter your user name
and password, then click "Cancel Account". Should you have problems with the form, you can send an e-mail to: support@archerfish.co.uk and we will cancel your account manually.
How can I cancel receiving your newsletters?
Your affiliateship in our program allows
archerfish.co.uk to send you email messages and advertisements. You may not cancel receiving email
ads from
archerfish.co.uk without terminating your affiliateship in our program and forfeiting any and all
earnings, as outlined above.
How can I change my personal information?
Log in to your account and click the "Profile" link (on the Members' Menu). You will be able
to edit any of your information except your name and member ID.
I have Web-TV, can I join too?
Yes, though some programs will not allow WEB-TV users to join their program, we
welcome WEB-TV users. Our efficient tracking method allows WEB-TV users full earning
privileges.
Why is my account balance so difficult to read?
The amount you have earned is expressed in pounds and
pence. Because the computer software has to total up
fractions of a penny earned from say, e-mails worth £0.0025,
(which is 1/4p), it expresses your account total in the same
way.
Therefore, to avoid confusion, the best way to read your
account total is to view it as pounds and pence, ignoring the
fractions of a penny; a total of £2.66170
is approximately £2.66, and £0.38510 is £0.38 (or 38p).
Earnings Questions:
How do I earn cash with Paid E-mails?
We send you a number of e-mails per week, which are targeted to the interests you have checked in your profile (note that the more subjects you check, the more e-mails you will receive). When you open an e-mail, you will be presented with one or more ad links. Every time you click on an ad link, the advertiser's site will open in another window, under the "Ad Timer", which will begin counting down to zero.
When you have viewed the site for the duration set by the Timer, you will receive a message that your account has been credited, and you can close the window, ready to view the next site.
Can I click on the same ad more than once? Many ads have a "repeat click" delay of 24 hours, so you can usually view the same ad again at the same time the next day, and earn more money as a consequence (this will not be possible with some ads which have a short lifespan, if for example only a 1,000 clicks have been purchased by the advertiser).
It is not possible to obtain credit by clicking on the same ad within a 24 hour period, but you can visit the site again without being paid, by following the special link that appears.
How do I earn money in the Paid-to-Click section?
When you visit this page, you will be presented with a number of text links and/or banners. Each link will have a designated "click value", which varies for each ad. Just click on the link you want to follow, and the advertiser's site will appear in a separate window, along with the Ad Timer. View the web page for the designated time to receive credit, then close the window. That's it - easy money!
N.B. some ads will appear for a shorter period than others, depending on the number of ads ordered by the advertiser. Therefore it pays to check the Paid to Click section regularly, as old ads expire and new ones are added at various times throughout the day.
How can I earn more money on Archerfish?
The simple answer to this is: refer lots of people to join!
If you can persuade family, work colleagues, or anyone else
you know to join, you will receive a proportion of their
earnings whenever they click on paid links (we pay the extra
amount, so that nobody loses any money).
If you have a web site, you can use any of the text links,
buttons or banners in your Referral Area to promote
Archerfish. Web sites with high volume of traffic will bring the
best results, although even a small site with a modest traffic
count will earn you a significant amount of money if the links
are strategically placed.
All that we ask is that you DO NOT send e-mails to people
that you do not know, as this is spamming. We have a zero-
tolerance attitude to this form of promotion, and anyone
caught spamming will have their account terminated
immediately.
Can I upgrade my free account to earn more money?
Yes you can! For a fixed yearly fee, you can upgrade your account to Starfish, Seashell, or Dolphin status. You will receive continuous random referrals and a set period of unlimited Top Banner exposures, the Turing numbers will be disabled, and there will be no minimum cashout level for Paypal payments - see Upgrades for details.
Payment Questions:
When can I request payment?
You may request payment after you have earned the minimum payout required for the payment method you choose. At present, the options are:
|
Payment Method |
Minimum Account Balance |
|
Paypal |
£3.00 |
|
Amazon Gift Vouchers |
£5.00 |
|
Cheque |
£10.00 |
How can I request payment?
As soon as you reach payout, go to your Cashout page, and submit your redemption request (you can redeem your account total for Advertisements or Cash). We will then validate your
account, and then begin the payment process.
Why do I have to wait until I have earned £10 to be paid by cheque?
We cannot issue cheques for values lower than this, simply because the cost of postage, bank fees and administration charges would make cheque payments uneconomical.
When will I be paid?
After your payment request is made and your account is in good-standing we will
issue payment to you within 7 days, or a reasonable time thereafter.
Referral Questions:
How can I refer other affiliates?
You can place a link with your referral url to
archerfish.co.uk on your website. You may add your referral url to your e-mail signature. You can
give out flyers or advertise in any way you wish except for Spamming.
What is my referral link?
Your coded referral links, including button, banner and e-mail links, can be found in your personal "Referral Centre"
How much can I earn through referrals?
Affiliates will earn 10% of their direct referral earnings, 5% of their indirect
referral level earnings, 4% of their 3rd level referral earnings, 3% of their
4th level referral earnings, 2% of their 5th level referral earnings, and 1% of their 6th level earnings.
Are my referral earnings working?
Yes, it takes many paid emails received by affiliates to have referral earnings
show up, even for affiliates that have 100's or 1000's in their downline. Referral
earnings are displayed once a referred member has earned their referring member
at least 1 full penny. Technically a member with 1000 referrals that have each
earned him/her 0.005p has earned £5.00, but their earnings will not be shown
until an individual member has earned them 1p.
Advertising Questions:
I have a website I would like to advertise, where can I find information on your
different programs and costs?
Visit our Advertising section for complete details, including the latest Special Offer Packages.
Technical Questions:
I cannot login to the Members' Area, even though my
username and password are correct. What's wrong?
This could happen as a result of a temporary browser cache problem.
In MS Internet Explorer, click on "Tools" on the
top menu, then click "Internet Options", and then click
the "Delete Files" and "Clear History"
buttons, allowing time between each press for the changes to
be made (with browsers other than IE, see the browser's Help
menu for details of how to make these changes).
When you have deleted these items, shut down the browser,
re-start it, and re-load the page a couple of times.
This should clear the fault, if not please contact
support@archerfish.co.uk for further help.
I have questions not answered on this FAQ page, what can I do?
